  1. Police profession is indeed a humanity job!

I think the motto of police states it quite correctly:
    “To serve and protect”

Equally important is the police’s own mission and vision statements, which states, among other things,

    (i) Vision of the South African Police Service is to –
•create a safe and secure environment for all the people in South Africa

(ii) The Mission of the South African Police Service is to –
•prevent and combat anything that may threaten the safety and security of any community
•investigate any crimes that threaten the safety and security of any community
•ensure offenders are brought to justice
•participate in efforts to address the causes of crime

Nonetheless, the role of responsible citizenship, in combating and eradicating criminal behaviour, among fellow South Africans (and all who live in Mzansi) can not be understated.

    1. Its about human to human job, as your say (i) protecting all the people in South Africa, (ii) any unlawful deeds threatening the community (human beings), investigate, remove offenders from the communities to rehabilitation through criminal justice system and educate community on future safety and security measures and so on.

  2. I believe that it is counted among-st the most courageous professions such as teachers, doctors, nurses, home care givers, e.t.c, the list can go on. People just need to learn more about the need for the Police Profession and not think of it as an isolated profession but a collective one. The Human Police joint to protect Human beings, they cannot do their job in isolation, they need the Human community to help them rid the Human offenders, vise versa. Responsibility is also vital in this profession, offenders are among-st us, victims and Police Officials. its a circle, we need each other for the success of the other. What do you think? i think its a humanity job.
